We're doing it again! In late April 2027 we're heading back to South East Asia. Where? We don't yet know... but we've got some ideas.
Pencil in these dates: 26th April - 1st May 2027
We did Thailand in 24, Vietnam in 25 and just got back from a second visit to Thailand for 26. So, for 2027, we're looking at somewhere new. Will that be the white beaches of Boracay, the powdery sands of Lombok, or a relaxed beach in Malaysia?
We'll be making a decision soon. Once we do, we'll open the doors. Initially to all those who have expressed an interest, then to the greater public.
As always, we'll have limited spaces available. So, get your expression of interest in, sit back and relax... we'll get back to you soon.
You've been asking for it... so, we're doing it! Our first adult training camp inside the country!
We've been taking a whole big bunch of Australian and international peeps to some of the totally, bestest-like-eva locations in South East Asia - we've just had another in Khao Lak... and we've got another lined up for late April 2027 - but now we're also offering a localised training camp, in preparation for the start of the 26-27 beach season.
And we're doing it in Newcastle!
It's an easy flight or drive away... has great sand, well maintained courts, and we have a crew of locals who can show us why we should have done this sooner. The accommodation is reasonable and, according to the Bureau of Meteorology and weather is calm, dry and rolls around the 24 degree mark. Sounds perfect!
But this will be a little different to our usual camps. If you've been on one of our camps, think the 'Morning Hustle' but for ALL the sessions.
We need to prepare you for the start of the season... to make sure you can last through to finals. Yes, we'll go through technique, and you'll get to implement what we teach... through relentless repetition, serious hustle and some game-based fitness drills, focussing on turning defence into solid attack.
It'll be fun, definitely fun... but, ah... you'll feel it by Sunday.
Eight spaces for advanced women, Eight spaces for advanced men. Hopefully, we'll also be able to open up eight further spots for the lower/intermediate crew.
This will be a strictly limited camp.
Warriors BV run two training days per week through the off-season - April to September. Weekend only training, across both Saturday and Sunday. These sessions run outdoors all the way through winter... yes, even on the cold days. These times are only a guide; please join the whatsapp group to get up to date schedule information.

The second official Asia Camp Invitational went down to a final playoff, as the top two teams were locked on the same points after a competitive Grand Final pool round, with eventual winners Samara, Chris and Aman of 'Family 5' taking the honours.
At our final group dinner the evening prior, a captain for each of eight teams of three were asked to place their hands into a sunglasses soft-case containing four dried pawpaw pieces and four dried pineapple pieces, spirited away earlier that morning from a rather lovely buffet breakfast. These dried fruits, would give us two pools: yellow and orange.
We are unsure whether these dried fruits were consumed.
Family 1: Talia, Helen and Julien
Family 2: Rob, Ted and Lori
Family 3: Jess, Elia and Luna
Family 4: Zabi, Antonia and Jo
Family 5: Aman, Chris and Samara
Family 6: Nasko, Chantella and Theresa
Family 7: Nick, Carlos and Joanne
Family 8: Brent, Brad and Marleen
--------
YELLOW POOL: 2, 4, 5 and 7 ORANGE POOL: 1, 3, 6 and 8
--------
The draw would see each pool play a 'Kings' format, with points earned only at the king end. After 20 minutes, the top two teams would move through into the Winner's bracket, whereas the bottom two would drop into the Loser's bracket. After the Second Round, the top two winners bracket teams would go directly into the Round Four finals. The bottom two from the Round Two Losers bracket would drop into the 5th-8th final group. The bottom two from the Winners bracket would drop into a Round Three pool. Top two head into the finals, the bottom two find themselves in the 5th-8th play-off.
Round One saw the Yellow pool top two, teams 7 and 5 move into the Winner's bracket Round 2, where they were joined by Orange pool top two, teams 1 and 8. Teams 4, 2, 3 and 6 dropped into the 'consolation' bracket. The Round Two Winners bracket saw teams 1 and 5 head straight to the Round Four 1st-4th finals. The bottom two teams, 7 and 8, dropped into the Losers bracket Round Three, where they were joined by teams 3 and 6. Teams 4 and 2 became the first teams into the 5th-8th final group.
Round Three saw teams 7 and 8 battle their way back, finding themselves into the 1st-4th Finals. 3 and 6 made their way into the 5th-8th final round.
In what could only happen on a perfect morning in a Khao Lak resort... two teams finished on the same points at the conclusion of the 20 minute finals. A 'best of five' winner-takes-all play-off between Nick, Carlos & Joanne (Family 7), and Samara, Chris & Aman (Family 5), saw the latter pinch the prizes.
The final standings:
1st: 5, 2nd: 7, 3rd: 8, 4th: 1, 5th: 3, 6th: 2, 7th: 6, 8th: 4
We'll have a whole bunch of visual joy for ya'll to view in the coming weeks. Hopefully, we'll get our act together and have some of the video footage edited and in there, too.
